Yearly Post...... Okay maybe it's been a little longer.....

So I know it has been FOREVER since I have posted anything on this. And maybe even a little embarrassing considering that my last post was full of promises to do much better, o'well. Anyway, I guess I will go ahead and update you all on what has been happening around the Lutu house.
Last June Chris FINALLY quit his job that he didn't loathed, not because of the people but more because of the stress. Most people would think that I would be freaking out, being the sole provider now these last 9-10 months. However, I wanted him to quit his job about a year before that and in fact told him that if he didn't quit his job I was either going to kill him myself or he could find another wife. The stress and mood swings it was causing him to have was just too much for him and me. I am one of those people that strongly believe that a job should be something that you enjoy doing. Especially since it will be taking up a significant amount of your time and life. Since leaving that job he has been much happier, less stressed, and more pleasant to be around. He has been dabbling in writing (Scripts, novels, short stories, etc.), acting, and whatever else it is that interests him. This has made him considerably more happy and in someways more healthy.
These last couple months he was able to work on the weekends for a young kids acting camp held on Friday nights and Saturdays up in Lehi. He loved this job and being able to teach and be influential in young peoples lives. Last weekend was his final weekend working at the camp. When he told the kids that it was his last day there were a lot of kids that started to cry. One little girl walked out with tears running down her face while her mother was walking in. When the mother asked what was wrong the little girl, not being able to fight back the tears, said, "It's Xmas' last day." This was a little unsettling for the mother as well because she was wondering why there had been no notice. That made Chris feel good and appreciated and even though he would never admit this publicly he had a little bit of a hard time letting go too.
He has also been working on a film called 120 hours (or something) with James Franco. It is about the guy down in Moab who got his hand stuck between a rock wall and bolder in the Narrows (I think that's where it was) and ended up having to cut off his hand. Chris will be playing the part of the medic/polite. I think he is more excited about going up in a helicopter then the actual part itself. He will be finishing up that project at the end of April. During the Summer he will be working on some projects to help get funds for some other things he wants to start doing. I am hoping it works out for him and will find his niche in what he wants to do.
As for me I am still working at my same job. I will be coming up on three years in July and am still enjoying what I do. Many people look at me, strange at times when I inform them of what it is that I do. Then they tell me it must be hard, they look at me even more confused when I tell them it isn't. Is it really that hard to believe that I enjoy what I do even though it is working with Juvenile Criminal Offenders (Convicts to those who might find that difficult to decode).
I am also working on getting ready for girls camp which will be at the end of June. Being director is more enjoyable then I thought it was going to be when I first got the calling. It is something that I am looking forward too. It is ward girls camp this year and with only 12 or so girls it makes it fun and more personable.
Lastly I will finally be finishing up my Masters Degree at the beginning of June and will be glad to have that over and done with and have some free time to do nothing. After I survive June I will be working on painting the rest of my house. With the paint that I have had for over a year. Probably work more in my yard and flowerbed and spend more time with my dogs, who will not be having puppies this year. I felt that If I had puppies on top of everything else that I will be dealing with I may end up either drowning them or having a nervous breakdown. It's just a good idea all the way around. So next summer we will have puppies and maybe next time we will get a couple girls out of the litter rather than 9 boys not that they weren't adorable.
Well here's hoping that I will be able to keep up more with this blog but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. :)
